A few weeks ago I went on vacation with my friends after a (too) long period where I didn't allow myself to rest or simply lounge around. I stepped off the high heels, let my feet detach from the ground, removed formality from myself and for a week I spent my days in the wind. I ate, laughed, danced, experienced, saw, ate again, bought and couldn't get enough of it.
When I got back home I needed, of course, a vacation from the vacation so that I could pick myself up and get back to routine, but the spirit of freedom kept adding wind to my sails and Tel Aviv, as Tel Aviv is, always warm, tempting and enabling… so I went out, ate, laughed, danced, saw, bought and still couldn't get enough, so much that I refused to give up on the vacay clothes and tried to mix them into every possible opportunity I saw in my usual formal business look to which I'm used to.
I can't explain it, but every time I opened my closet, my vacation clothes waved at me with enthusiasm and a massive smile, where the other garments seemed to have a gloomier look, somewhat embarrassed, like they were sorry that they're not as "cool" to join the party. So I decided that if there is no winning over this urge for another vacation, I'll just let it accompany me throughout the day. I'll mix "happy" items, that remind me of a dreamy vacation, with other classic items and I'll create this exciting daily routine, well at least until the next vacation. And who knows… thought creates reality they say ;- )
