Good morning, it's eight thirty and it's time to shine!
Before you escape the hot summer sun rays that penetrate the neon office spaces, let's talk about how much you let yourself glow? yes, to shine, from the inside and out.
So ok, you might not be that crazy jumpy girl at the full moon parties in Thailand, you've swapped the colorful body paint with highlighters, tags and sticky notes and threw away, a long time ago, that GAZOZ or OP Tshirt that you got as a present in junior high, but what does all this have to do with your desire to feel great?!
Experiences and events like fashion trends, come and go, and so do achievements and work places, but one thing will always stay true – YOU! When I learned to process this internally, my life became a little simpler. Every morning I shed yesterday's leftovers, the excess feelings of guilt, the remains of self-criticism or anything else that obscures my rays … or at least try to give myself a chance for something better. After all, we both know that the hand of the "regret gauge" always moves in one motion, during the day, with every bite you take from an overindulgent lunch or a candy bar that a colleague brought back from vacation, and the indicator lights in your "self-criticizing" system will flash as soon as your phone shows a missed call from your Mom or Dad during a business meeting.
My clothes take a significant part in this process every morning, so much that I have trouble understanding women who keep clothes for "special occasions". If the garment isn't too revealing or too fancy it could definitely fit in the workspace if you combine it with a classic item. And what's the worst that could happen if you dressed nice?! You'll get flattered and feel good? … ohhhh noo ;- )
