”It was on sale!“ – a phrase that makes my friends roll their eyes and crack up in laughter, every time I put it to use.
What can I do?! I‘m my own cliché! Give me a good sale, end of season discount or some unordinary deal – and I‘m rendered senseless.

The cold season is upon us again. Ok, well maybe not yet, but it will be here very soon.
As one who isn't a big fan of the cold, I admit that the move to daylight saving time got me a little excited. So yes, there's nothing exciting about leaving the office when it's already dark, even when it's still early, but on the other hand, the fashion style unique to this season definitely puts a smile on my face… so much so that, after the first rain, I hurried outside dressed in my shiny new knit sweater, only to find out that it's still like 25 degrees outside. What we call "we're definitely NOT in Europe" ;-)
Paris Fashion Week began for me with a breakup.
Although breakups always seem like a dramatic and intense experience, this breakup was optimistic and stirred up some curiosity. No, we’re not talking about a breakup from a lover or a sad event, we’re talking about the last fashion show for the creative director of Chloé fashion house, Clare Waight Keller.
In a few days I’ll be taking off for Paris to attend the Fashion Week events.
Who would have thought that six months have passed since my last visit to the Fashion Capital, a visit that was so exciting and full of experiences.
This time, I’ll be reviewing the fall-winter 2017/18 collections of various fashion houses, but before I start expecting a variety of coats, scarves, ponchos and gloves, I wanted to go back to the Chloé summer collection fashion show, which set the tone to an unforgettable week, somewhere in September.
It happened! Not a dream, not fiction or fantasy, but a true reality in a parallel universe – I went to Paris Fashion Week!
If someone would have told me a year ago that I would spend the holiday break checking out shows by fashion houses Chloé, Céline, Issey Miyake and Vivienne Westwood, chat with designers, photographers, magazine editors, and other pillars in the fashion industry, surely I would have laughed dismissively and gone straight back to my pile of chores and pressing tasks. But all of this and more has happened :- )
