Baby boom

Come on, you didn’t really believe that a trend aficionado such as myself could possibly skip the hottest trend of this period – the “baby boom”?!

I swear, judging by my Instagram feed – EVERYONE’s pregnant these days.

Well, you know how it is – there was a country-wide lockdown, we had already finished watching every possible show on Netflix… AND we drank lots of wine ;-) Continue Reading

EIGHT30 EILAT ALEMBIKA 3A
THE LOOK, YES, WEEKEND!

Something’s cooking…

Let’s start at the end: this photo was taken shortly before sunset by my significant other, because I wanted to share with you that I’m six months pregnant and we’re eagerly awaiting the arrival of our baby girl.

As soon as the camera was turned off (how classic), we sat on a bench – facing the sea. Then, in the most surprising and unpredictable (at least as far as I’m concerned) timing, my “camera hater” pulled a ring out of his pocket – and moved me to tears.

MIND YOUR BUSINESS

Step into my world

“Let’s do something Instagrammable” – that’s how the idea for the crazy elevator exhibition project I’ve been working on for the past few months came to life.

SCHOOL OF DREAMS

The Covid 19 pandemic, along with the financial crisis and the combative state of mind that has spread like fire in the country lately, have pushed us all to become more practical, leaving us less time to be “dreamers”. Truly, who has the time for ambition when all around us businesses are experiencing such hardships and are closing down?!

Personally, over the past few months I’ve felt uncomfortable posting content on social media. Don’t get me wrong, escapism is awesome and is very necessary some of the time, but I certainly didn’t want to seem detached.

As for inspiration… That’s another challenging issue. Inspiration isn’t spread across newspaper pages, nor is it displayed on billboards along the Ayalon freeway.

And so, I sought out to find inspiration. Because this new day-to-day routine is here to stay (at least for the near future), and we all must “own” at least one dream or one pleasant thought, to ensure that at the end of the day – a smile is brought to our face. Continue Reading

EIGHT30 HAIFA CITY TOUR bahai gardens 3
YES, WEEKEND!

FORGIVE ME HAIFA FOR I HAVE SINNED

Or: How did I not see this coming?

Forgive me Haifa, for I have sinned. I was always sarcastic and never gave you a fair chance.

Well, you know how it is… Eye rolls and eyebrow raisings in response to rumors of “something cool that’s happening in town”, are like a national sport to us Haifa natives. Isn’t that so?! ;-)

Similar to most of my friends, I too left Haifa in favor of “the city that never stops” about twenty years ago. Since then, my visits to Haifa have narrowed down to Friday night dinners with my family and watching videos of wild boars chewing up public playgrounds. But 24 hours in your company, made me realize that you’re basically what other cities aspire to be like – you have a female mayor (!), public transportation and commerce that is active on Saturdays, true coexistence, recreational and leisure culture… And wow! You are absolutely beautiful! Continue Reading
