HOLY WORK

On a particularly wintry morning, the weather man reported the damage that the storm from the night before had caused and I prayed for just one hour of clear skies so I can get the shot for this post. “I’ve already had tough shooting days" I tell myself, looking worriedly at the sky, and immediately remember the love and warmth that I get from all of you when you see inspiring sights.

Maybe it's me, maybe you … or the combination of the two of us together that makes me want to be the best there is. Creative, unique, diverse and different. But what is certain, is that the relentless pursuit of integrity brings me, quite often, to the edge. To stand in the freezing cold, wind and rain in light clothes to create a fantasy or work until the wee hours of the morning on a client’s presentation. That's it, there's no peace for ambitious people ;-)

MIND YOUR BUSINESS, THE LOOK

FEIN ZUCKER

The rumors are that the Israeli fashion industry is a closed, competitive and alienated field.

"It's all personal!" A colleague once told me during a professional debate we had. Despite the rumors, I decided to avoid prejudices and stick to the good. I was convinced that I would meet good people along the way … Evidently, optimism is the name of the game.

One of the first women to blossom, and that was happy to cooperate with me, was fashion designer Einav Zucker, who owns the fashion brand named – Zucker. My blog was only a few months old (between you and me, there was a time when my mom and her friends were my only followers), but Einav didn’t set conditions or ask any questions. She smiled politely and invited me to her charming studio. Today, two years later, I decided to give this talented designer a place of honor in my Career Women's Club, which is a source of inspiration for me.

DAYTIME DISCO

A month ago, customs officials stopped me at the airport.

Four in the afternoon, as I happily walked along the green path, the customs officer yelled – ”You! Come here please. Put the suitcase in the x-ray machine".

I loaded the suitcase onto the conveyor belt and burst out laughing. It was clear to me that when I opened the case the officer would be instantly embarrassment.

"Tell me, what you have in the suitcase? Do you have any diamonds?" He asked, looking harshly at the screen.

"I'll show them to you right now", I said giggling, trying to hold back my uncontrollable laugh.

THE LOOK, YES, WEEKEND!

LONDON CALLING

So where are you spending the holiday?

I don’t know what about you, but my family is always willing to trade the holiday meal for Ben-Gurion Airport queues. We all know, after all, that nothing beats the holiday atmosphere at the airport! The congestion, the crowded security checks and the wonderful feeling that you may miss your flight any minute now ;-)

THE LOOK, YES, WEEKEND!

IT’S WINE O’CLOCK!

Last month I received two tempting offers. One business (the rumors are true, I've returned to the business world), and the other pleasure – an invitation to a private visit to the Galil Mountain Winery with friends and lots of wine.

After a year of achieving dreams and recalculating my route, it finally happened!  All the dots joined into a line, and the symbolic timing proved to me that I cannot escape from myself.  I'm a career woman, who finds interest and challenges in the business environment, but I'm also an uncompromising hedonist. I love fashion, beauty and style. In short, "both this and that!" So, there's no need to give up one for the other.
