You know those mornings where you stand in front of the closet a little lost, scanning all the clothes in there and they throw you back this blank stare, lazily curled up inside themselves, and mutter back at you "Leave us alone… not today". Those mornings when your closet look a pale, outdated and sleepy, so much that even your pajamas look like a pretty good option and even matches perfectly with the carpet in the office?

I'll let you in on a little secret, I have a little trick I keep for those days where your body woke up before your head, those "I have nothing to wear" days – ACCESSORISE!

On those mornings where my creativity refuses to wake up, I awaken my autopilot to select a number of fashion accessories that would upgrade my appearance. Scarf, colored stockings, statement chain or large bracelets, that will upgrade the look into much more fashionable. Whether you add expensive or inexpensive accessories, a colorful or unique item helps create a chic and invested look and can even attracts lots of attention, so in combination with a basic and neutral outfit it easily allows for a more sophisticated look.

Wait a minute, before you all adopt the idea, it's important that you remember to keep it toned down, balanced and be careful not to overload on accessories or mix styles, as in this case instead of adding it can worsen the look.

By the way, this trick also works with makeup. On the day my hair has desires and aspirations of its own (yes, I have bad hair days too), or even when I want to shift attention away from my tired looking shirt or that dress I wore to death, I pull out my winning card, a sly trick I discovered when I was a flight attendant – the red lipstick! It's surprising how this method works every time and easily manages to get me some compliments on my impressive appearance, so all I have left is red smile and lower my head humbly and say "oh.. it's just something I threw together" ;- )
