Black is the new black!
Oh no, sorry… Orange is the new Black!
Oh… actually, active wear is the new black! And here is the message received just now – Transparent is the new black!
What's the deal with "the new black"?! What's so wrong with the old black?
Every few months we're keeping up to date with various magazines about changes in the fashion world under the loud headline (…or not) of "THE NEW BLACK"! Like the color black itself is a transforming fashion item, develops and changes shapes as time goes by.
But over the years the cultural perception of black clothes has changed, so much that the dark shade was so warmly adopted by lovers of fashion and style, but one thing hasn't changed – the color black is still related to toughness and darkness, so I tend to use it in moderation with regard to office wear.
Don't get me wrong, I admire strong, independent and opinionated women. In general, that rocker look totally "does it for me", but regardless, it's important to also maintain your softness, femininity, and perhaps most importantly – accessibility in the workplace … as such, there's no need to justify the nickname "sourpuss" that stuck to me, that I'm a tough lawyer that refuses to issue certificates and approve business moves that conflict with any legal provisions ;- )
But if I'm going with black, I am officially announcing that I went back to the good old black and, as my favorite song goes – "I go back to black!"
… Because between us, without anyone listening, this color always works.
